BRIEF© – Boroscope Report in Electronic Format
At Team Europe we have developed a State-of-the-Art Electronic Borescope Inspection Report. With many years of experience within the field condensed into this program, the system is available Online HTML and as an APP, currently on the Apple iPad and Windows 8 platforms.
BRIEF© is a revolutionary piece of software used during Borescope inspections to aid the engineer in systematically reporting data.
Utillizing PTT (Portable Touch-screen Technology), the application works seamlessly alongside the engine manual and allows the user to note and keep track of their findings, helping to limit the likelihood of human error.
With time and money in mind, the app allows authorised 3rd parties to login to the system and review the inspection in real time – a particularly useful feature when time is of the essence. The engineer can continue his inspection whilst his superior logs the data and alerts the relevant parties, such as the OEM (Engine Manufacturer) for evaluation.
PRO-ACTIVE ADVANTAGES –
The system has the facility of compiling reports on a whole fleet of engines diagnosing any damage trends. This diagnosis can be automated or On-demand which is hugely beneficial when planning scheduled removals as the system detects and predicts early signs of damage propagation.
Predictive advantage
The system also allows the use of historical data to map deficiencies prior to failure that allows for more pro-active planning of man hours, scheduling maintenance downtime and material management.
REPORTING
The software …
..Compliments and supports existing EHM and MRO reliability performance measures.
…Builds on real time data for accurate evidence-based feedback for multiple evidence-based reporting.
…Allows the user to compare individual aircraft engines, multiple engines or world-based comparisons.
…Can overlay EGT and oil consumptions on known worn or engines carrying known allowable defects.
…Can be utilized to instigate manufacture design improvements on repaired or modified parts e.g. Blades.
…Provides a tool that airline operators can monitor repairs or design modification.
